Project Spotlight: Groves Residence

HWS Garages recently worked with the Groves family near us here in Wake Forest to complete a one-story garage project. We worked with Mr. Groves on the design to construct a look that would match his house but give him the function he was after. Mr. Groves wanted a space big enough to comfortably store his vehicles, but he also wanted a workshop addition on the back. For convenience, we also tied in a sidewalk extending from the garage to the house.

This project’s results included:

• low-maintenance vinyl siding
• brick exterior
• shingles that matched the home
• OSB sheeting on roof
• hurricane-resistant materials
• concrete perimeter footing & foundation
• sat on a 4-inch concrete slap to minimize stress fractures & deter moisture seepage
